Garden Tea Party with a Flavored Iced Tea Bar

Summer is made for alfresco dining! What’s even more enjoyable this time of year is finding ways to celebrate with a small, intimate group of friends outdoors and create a memorable experience. That’s why when Yankee Candle came to me (full disclosure, I am a Yankee Candle Ambassador) with their new Signature Collection, I knew this would be the perfect line of fragrances to incorporate into an intimate event with close friends – my Garden Tea Party! 

Creating ambiance with candles is one of my best party tips and sometimes I even use a candle fragrance to develop my party theme. This was the case with the Black Tea & Lemon fragrance from Yankee Candle’s Signature Collection. As soon as I experienced this enchanting scent, with notes of black tea, yuzu, vanilla and lemon citrus, the idea for my garden tea party came to me, using different kinds of refreshing flavored iced tea for my guests to choose from.

I like to use candles not only as a fragrance throughout my home – but also as decor for a tablescape, like I did with this Garden Tea Party Table. I wanted to give this new soy-based candle the credit it deserved for inspiring this beautiful party for my close friends. The pretty, vibrant hue of this candle and the new hand-illustrated label for this line really adds a pop of color – a fun addition to the table decor.
