Cobalt Blue and Pink Floral Table

Sometimes all it takes is one plate to inspire a table. How lucky I was to stumble upon a perfect set of blue French bistro plates (on sale too!) that had a vintage look and feel because they all have a different design. This became the foundation for my cobalt blue and pink floral table that I designed using a lot of elements in my entertaining arsenal. Here’s another bonus: the bright pink peonies that served as my centerpiece are faux!

There’s a lot of print on this table – a classic blue floral pattern plays beautifully off the bright pink peonies while the natural rattan placemats and bamboo flatware give it a neutral foundation.

Can you tell which flowers are real and which ones are faux? The peonies are faux and the alstomeria are real. Mixing the two is a great way to get more mileage out of real flowers and give more substance to faux arrangements.

I’ve been eyeing these bamboo flatware sets for a few years and finally pulled the trigger. Their natural beauty compliments any place setting, and ties right in with the rattan placemats. I’m thrilled to have these in my entertaining arsenal now.

Bright blue hues dominate this table – both the tablecloth and matching napkins have a lighter blue border that make it even more elegant. Blue goblets draw out the color theme of my blue and pink floral table – I use these a lot throughout the year.

How pretty are these glass urns? They have a gorgeous muted silvery mercury base and diamond-etched design that gives it extra flare.
bistro plates
Each bistro plate in this set of four is different which gives my blue and pink floral table even more charm. Better yet, my To Have + To Host sign from Etsy overlooks it!

Full of prints and patterns, I hope you liked seeing how I styled my blue and pink floral table. There are a lot of elements on this table I’ve incorporated that can be used for other settings throughout the year. The rattan placemats, bamboo flatware and glass urns are items that I will bring out for different seasonal tables.
