With winter here, and snow already falling across the country, what a perfect way to celebrate the coldest season than by hosting a hot cocoa bar. This is a great idea for a kids party, as they love picking out fun goodies to make their own hot cocoa creations! The sky’s the limit with what you can add to your bar, so use your imagination and think outside the box.
I hosted a hot cocoa bar recently for one of my daughter’s get-togethers and it was a huge hit. Self-serve beverage stations are a great way to entertain – your guests are free to make their own drinks and you’re free to mingle and be a good hostess!
Here’s a idea of what to include in your DIY hot cocoa bar:
- Hot cocoa packets/water, or
- A Keurig with hot cocoa K-cups
- Peppermint marshmallows
- Fun-shaped marshmallows
- Chocolate-covered marshmallows
- Candy cane stirrers
- Red and white striped straws
- Whipped cream
- Crushed peppermint candies
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Cinnamon sticks
- White chocolate shavings
