It’s unmistakable and readily identifiable – buffalo check – large squares of alternating colors in a plaid pattern. Classic and causal, this print is a mainstay in the fabric world of decor, mostly because it’s so versatile and exudes a country farmhouse vibe (aka Magnolia Farms style) that is still popular in many homes throughout the country. It’s great for any season – I’ve paired it here with autumn leaves for a buffalo check fall table.

Would you believe that the my centerpiece is actually 3 separate dried leave wreaths? I purchased them at Trader Joe’s and simply set them down the middle of the table for a gorgeous display.

A black wood board is laid on top of the leaf wreaths and white wooden pumpkins are lined down the middle for a simple, yet very effective centerpiece.

Colored glass goblets are a great way to add an interesting pop of color to your table – these black ones do the trick!

Don’t overlook the dollar section at stores like Target – that’s where I found these cute white pumpkin appetizer plates – perfect for my black and white fall plaid table

White plates used to be the preferred color for serving food, but other neutral hues like these charcoal dinner plates are considered a current alternative to traditional white.
