I’ve had the fortune of meeting some very talented entertaining influencers who enjoy hosting friends and family as much as I do. Two ladies from Utah and Colorado, Holly and Holliday, have joined me to bring together a fun blog hop: Holiday Hosting at Home. We’re showing you inspirational and creative ideas for Christmas tables, decor, recipes and more. If you would like to pin any of these images, please go to the original post linked below each image. You’ll want to check out these ladies’ entire posts – gorgeous photos and great ideas for hosting at home during the holidays. Links to their sites are at the bottom of the page.
Home with Holliday
Holliday hosted a sit-down progressive dinner for 20 and the starting point for this table was these great Lenox Alpine Plates. With a bit of grey/taupe tone to them, they nicely offset the white plates. She bought only the salad plates from the collection…a clever money-saving tip for such a festive and beautiful table.
For Holliday’s next table, silver beaded chargers, white dinner napkins (with silver trim) and a natural garland were part of the decor. She chose to use gold and silver and already had these darling perfect snowflake plates from HomeGoods. She’s so talented at recreating tables with many of the items she already has!
Home with Holly J
Ah, snow! We don’t get much of it here in Phoenix, but my friend Holly in Utah sure does. Look at this beautiful shot of her stunning home after a fresh snowfall. Check out her Christmas home tour below!

When Holly J went to Italy years ago, she had the most amazing pasta and it’s taken her years to replicate the recipe. This is the base for her delicious homemade lasagna with bolognese. I can’t wait to try this one!
To Have + To Host
There’s something so appealing about the way people in Northern Europe decorate for the holidays: elegantly minimalist, yet still festive. I recreated my own modern Scandinavian setting with a Nordic Christmas to remember.
I recently hosted a family gathering and wanted to create a White Winter Wonderland Brunch. By keeping the decor neutral with lots of white and green, I can replicate this tablescape all season long, and not just for the holidays. Featuring the Alpine Collection from Lenox for this tabletop, see how I incorporated their pieces for my brunch here.
